I don't know if I could ever give up Xfce now. I have a routine for every system I set up, exactly what goes where, which software, which themes, etc.

Then I think you should stick to it.

Because you are awesome?

Or because I'm not awesome enough, according to some people.

That may be. Tiling window managers are stupid, IMO. I'd rather just use Terminator.

Of course, I'm still a weirdo and use terminal-based software for a lot of things. Like I prefer running Emacs in a terminal and running Python next to it so I can check my work as I go... though I recently discovered you can split an Emacs screen and run Python in one half and edit the code in another. Man, Emacs is cool. (I am kind of stuck between using Emacs for Python and IDLE, however. IDLE is admittedly a little easier to use, though far less powerful.)

One of the nice things about Emacs, is the ability to split the Emacs window up in as many Wangblow$ as you want to.

I love the word filter there. Yeah, it's pretty neat. They say Emacs is an OS unto itself. Like RMS never has to leave it to get his work done.

It even has a builtin browser. I'm pretty sure vim can't do that.

It can't do it from what I know.
