He has some interesting points, that needs to be seriously considered. It's also why I think one of the biggest damages to Ubuntu is their Unity interface, which is sending out information out to the Internet they should never share with other people to begin with.

I still remember using it back in the day when it didn't include non-free software. Trisquel now is pretty much what Ubuntu used to be. (Minus stuff randomly breaking, of course.)

I agree with you.

Does Trisquel break?

No, it doesn't.

It just makes me sad how far Canonical has fallen. They used to be a force for good.

I know. This is what happens when you get people running it that cares more about the money than staying true to the cause.

Mint is a little better as far as beginners distros go, but they still include a lot of non-free crap.

The problem with Mint, is it's trying to be what Ubuntu was when they still used Gnome 2.

Cinnamon isn't bad. It's really the only reason I can think of to use it. However, I'm pretty sure you can get it with a lot of other distros like Manjaro, which is infinitely superior as far as I'm concerned.

I haven't tried Cinnamon, but would be interesting in checking it out.

It's kinda nice, if you don't care about the ability to customize things. I prefer Xfce because I can pretty much do whatever I want with it.

Both have their positive and negative sides.

Yeah. I think Xfce is probably for more advanced users. Cinnamon may not be too customizable, but it's simple and familiar to people who might not know GNU/Linux too well.

I AM ALWAYS RIGHT
I know Trisquel comes with GNOME, but what do you prefer otherwise?

I like both Xfce and LXDE.

I haven't used LXDE in forever.

I haven't used it in a while either.
