This is so old it's not even funny. Masters of DRM has been running security vulnerabilities on their (Wangblow$) products for years, and Masters of DRM is always arrogant enough to say "we don't have any plans of providing a security update for <product> at this moment". This, of course comes after Masters of DRM have tried to deny there is any vulnerabilities to begin with. Freaking Digital Restrictions Management loving money companies that isn't good for anything.

I don't think I've had Quicktime installed on any of my machines since I was using Wangblow$ 98. I refuse to use that garbage. It reminds me of stupid RealPlayer back in the day... they got a little too greedy, and they paid dearly. I hope the same thing happens to Masters of DRM.

Good. I saw in an email at work today that Quicktime will be removed from city machines "in the next few weeks." What the hell is the IT director waiting for?

They managed to pull Firefox off the computers right away, so it can't be that difficult to uninstall another piece of software.

No kidding. Although I am allowed to use Firefox again, but only for the purpose of testing our website... their stupid cloud-based security service won't work with Firefox, so I guess that's why the won't let anyone else use it. This is what happens when you put your security in the cloud. I mean, seriously, what makes anyone think that that's a good idea?!

I question more what makes it not work with Firefox. It sounds more like someone has been paid to make sure it doesn't work.

I have no idea. That's just what they told me. What could be the motivation for not supporting Firefox? Interestingly enough, Firefox won't work with Granicus, our video cloud server service, either...

Sounds like they are all working together to make sure you can't use Firefox.

I wonder if I'd get in trouble if I ran Iridium at work... I think there are Wangblow$ binaries available.

You probably get in trouble for running anything other than Micro$haft, since your job is Micro$haft fan boys.
