The rules are simple, but may GNU have mercy on you if you break them. 1. This is a private forum. You may be banned for any reason, at any time, without any recourse. 2. If this bothers you, you are liable to be banned. 3. The proper term on this forum is "GNU/Linux". Use this term unless you are referring specifically to the Linux kernel. This is not up for debate. 4. You must be a user of GNU/Linux. You may also join to inquire about installing GNU/Linux for the first time. 5. RTFM. Also, RTFM. Stupid questions are grounds for a ban. The Arch and Gentoo wikis are your friend. 6. Do not disparage GNU/Linux unless offering constructive criticism. Bear in mind that distro and kernel devs probably aren't reading anything on this forum. 7. No debates over which distro is âbest.â Respect othersâ choices. 8. No shilling of proprietary operating systems or software, such as those made by Masters of Digital Restrictions Management, Micro$haft, or Adobe. 9. Do not evade the word filters⦠unless you want to be banned. TEH ÜBER BOTNET. Excessive use of improper English spelling and grammar is a bannable offense. 11. Do not discuss religion or politics, except as it relates to the free software movement and the Church of Emacs. 12. The Internet, contrary to popular belief, is not srs bsns. Have fun!
