Well, you won't believe it, but I dropped Arch for Debian. I decided I wanted something more stable, with a better track record for freedom, and the possibility of running sysvinit instead of systemd. I still have systemd on my system -- I tried to purge it using apt, and you wouldn't believe how much stuff it wanted me to delete! -- but at least I'm not using it as my init. Overall, I must say, Debian is far more polished than Arch is. cmus is broken, though, so now I'm using Audacious for music... oh well. I need to get away from my elitist LOL EVERYTHING MUST BE DONE IN THE CLI mindset.

Debian seems to have a good philosophy on that software should actually be free to use, which is something we both like.

Indeed. I think the only non-free software I'm using are the firmware blobs in the kernel for my video and wireless chipsets.

Good for you. I'm not there yet, but I'm taking baby steps to get there.

I'll have to research if there are any libre distros that don't use systemd. I think the free software community should take a stand against it.

I don't, but you will be the first to know if I find one that doesn't use systemd.

GuixSD. It uses GNU Shepherd init. Maybe we could use that for Freetoo?
